Jesus W.O.D

Jesus WOD (The way of the Cross)

14 Rounds for time
95lbs Barbell
10 Deadlifts
10 Squat cleans
10 Push Press

50 ft of Walking Lunges with barbell on back. Walk back to start
point. At no point does the barbell touch the ground until after rounds 3 7
and 9.

After Round Three Seven and Nine 7 Turkish Get Ups 1.5 Pood (seven is the
number of completion)

The WOD represents 14 stations of the Cross with the three time Jesus
fell to the ground.

The WOD should be done Friday at three O clock for the

time Jesus passed on the Cross.

INTENSITY!

HELLO meet Vic Zachary he is the owner of Crossfit Bayou City in Houston Texas. He is cheering on his competitors at Sectionals. Look at the the energy in his body it says to me get it done! Games Plan

The Crossfit Regional competition is in 10 weeks and its time to start training! The last couple of weeks I have been working on my program to prepare me for the regional competition and set me up for the Crossfit Games in July. After three years of training for the Crosssfit games I feel like I have never reached my full potential. The guess work of how to run an affiliate have a personal life and train has always challenged me. Learning from my past experience I am one step closer to be more prepared then ever.

This brings me to my last thought. How is each competitor training with the Games in mind with out destroying them selves training for sectionals and regionals then the games? Three competitions can take a major toll on the body and mind if you do not build to the final event.

High Resolution


Competition vs. Training

After training Crossfit for 4 1/2 years you start to learn a lot about your self and your ability's to push to the next level. Also when you should and how you should train at the next level. I am an emotional competitor I am starting to learn that doesn't mean I need to train with emotion. Training at high intensity's and getting emotionally involved in your workouts can burn your candle from both ends. I have began to learn to be stingy with my emotional energy and its application to training.

Sorry for the rambling but I was thinking about this today during my WOD. What do you think?

Fierce!!!!!!

Crossfit is more then a fitness program. This past weekend I counted for 6 adults going through the I am Crossfit workout. I watched as they worked, pushed, and struggled through the workout. A question rose up in me. What if their peers saw them doing this? What would they think? Grown women pushing them selves harder then many men would even think of doing.

Crossfit is an outlet to be alive in many dimensions that modern day living doesnt allow!

Live like a child

Jackson Jackson Jackson!!!!!! This little man is full of energy and is ready to fly anytime. Have you ever meet a kid who knows what he/she wants and wont leave you or his/her parent alone until they get it?

I tossed Jackson in the air a couple of times and he was hooked. With child like determination he wanted to be tossed in the air every free time I had.

If some one tells you NO. Do you accept their answer and move on? Stay focused and get some! Be Relentless!

This video almost made me tear up! Arnold has been an inspiration to me from on early age. I started to follow his work at the early age of 12. The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding and who can forget commando! Man I wanted to be built like that!

Bowing out!

Crossfit is the mother ship of showing you your weaknesses. I can sling barbells around all day run until my feet fall off short met cons long met cons. Give it to me! Gymnastics for me is my Goat. I am considered a bigger guy in Crossfit 5'10 200lbs but thats not big. I dont think of this as an excuse for not crushing 50+ pull ups in a row or 45 hand stand push ups 30 muscle ups sub 4 minutes or 100 burpees in 5 minutes.

I am humbling my self this spring to be come a metabolic and gymnastic beast. I dont like to slow down I dont like to sit and learn. I want it now now now. Matrix style just down load it and move on.

I have cut weight to 196 and looking to get to 190lbs in the next 6 weeks. I am the master of my mind and body. I will crush burpees hand stand push ups muscle ups and pull ups!

Patience young warrior your time will come.

In the FACE of Adversity

Moment by moment day by day adversity stares you in the face. The pain is to much, the pressure will turn you back. I first heard about adversity from my highs school football coach James Morton. When you are a kid you cant figure out exactly what it is. You just might feel it or see the challenges but cant understand it.

As I have grown up I have turned from confused or running from adversity to looking for it. COME ON ADVERSITY BRING IT!

Then SMACK BAMB BANG it shows up and I am like what is this what do you want with me. It might take me a couple days a couple weeks to figure out what is stalking me but once I began to catch on the tide begins to turn.

Tone it down kid tone it down. You might scare the kids.
