Walking in Faith

(I wish the photo could show you my mind and spirit. These are the two things that have changed the most. Mind Body and Spirit) I was once told that the tool in your hand leads to the message of your heart. I wanted to live from my heart but didn't know how. I moved to Austin, Texas four short years ago with big dreams of changing the world. I didn't know exactly how I was going to do it, I just knew I would do it with fitness. I found Crossfit three years ago and the rest is history.

Crossfit is the vehicle that allows me to express my passion to positively effect peoples lives!

Crossfit is more than a fitness program; it allows you to over come obstacles and believe anything is possible. Changing the world is a big task and I am still up to it one step at a time.

Lost in the Crowd?

Do you have a relentless attitude to achieve? Do you stay the course to your goals or follow the pack?
"Most successful people also have a phenomenal ability to consciously focus their attention. We know from experiments with subjects as diverse as obsessive-compulsive disorder sufferers and Buddhist monks that people who can self-consciously focus attention have the power to rewire their brains.
Control of attention is the ultimate individual power. People who can do that are not prisoners of the stimuli around them. They can choose from the patterns in the world and lengthen their time horizons. This individual power leads to others. It leads to self-control, the ability to formulate strategies in order to resist impulses. If forced to choose, we would all rather our children be poor with self-control than rich without it. To Give or Receive

Give Much More Than You Expect to Receive
The meaning of our lives is shaped by what we give, not what we get. Live every day to give something of value to those around you. You will experience a life of meaning and joy.

This Christmas CrossFit Central is giving back to the Austin Community. We are setting out to give kids in need a pair of athletic shoes! The CrossFit Central coaches will be delivering the tennis shoes to the Austin Children's Center, they will give a talk on leadership, fitness, and what it means to be a champion every day, and will host a fun workout for all of the kids!

We need your help! We are asking for athletic shoes for boys and girls ages 4-17. The shoes should be new, in the shoebox, and unwrapped. Drop them by the CrossFit Central facility or bring them to the Christmas party on December 12th.

Our goal is to raise 150 pairs of shoes for Austin children in need and you can help us reach this goal! The sizes we need are below:

Sizes - Boys & Girls:
Kids 10, 11, 12, 13
Kids 1, 2, 3, 4
Kid/Young Adult Female 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Kid/Young Adult Male 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

Are you an Outlier?

I love Malcolm Gladwells Books Tipping Point was by far my favorite!

Consider the 10,000-hour rule. This is the idea that you have to practice something for 10,000 hours to master it. That's about 10 years of practice. So, mastery is impossible without an investment of 10 years, which combats the idea that talent is something you have or you don't. It takes investment to achieve mastery
